Uri is a personal assistant you talk to like a person. Send it a message and it reads your inbox, keeps your calendar, remembers what matters to you, and gets things done, from a reply you owe to a table booked for tonight. It asks before anything that matters.

What Uri does with your Google account

Uri connects to your Google account once, when you sign up, and uses it only to do what you ask. Here is what each permission is for.

• Gmail. Uri reads your inbox to tell you what needs you, drafts and sends replies you ask for, and archives or labels mail on your say-so. It does not read mail to show you ads, and it never sends anything you did not ask for.
• Calendar. Uri reads your day to answer "what is on today", and adds, moves, or cancels events when you ask.
• Contacts. Uri looks up the people you name, so "email Dana" reaches the right Dana, and saves a new contact when you ask.
• Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Uri finds the file you mean, reads it to answer your question, and edits or shares it when you ask.
• Tasks. Uri keeps your to-dos where you already keep them.

Uri's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only to provide the features you use, never for advertising, and never to train AI models. Disconnect Google from your access page at any time and Uri's access ends and everything it indexed from Google is deleted.
